The Parish Council has continued to strongly objected to a planning application for a landfill site at Kennford that backs onto Shillingford Wood. Although this is in our neighbouring Parish of Kenn, there are implications for Exminster, particularly relating to Berry Brook.
At the Parish Council meeting on 5 August, it was agreed to submit additional comments to those raised in a report last year that set out the planning policies that the Parish Council considers breached by the proposal. Both reports have been submitted to Devon County Council, District and County Councillors and MP Mel Stride.
The planning documents are available on Devon County Council’s Planning Portal where there is the opportunity to comment. Although it shows that the date for public consultation has expired, the Parish Council has been advised that comments can be submitted up until the date that the application is considered by the planning committee. This is currently estimated to be in October.
