The Parish Council has objected to a planning application for an electrical substation to be sited near Matford Mews and the Devon Hotel.
24 members of the public attended the Parish Council meeting on 17 July to voice concerns about the proposal and to hear the Council’s preliminary discussions on the application. Following the meeting, a report was drafted and the objection was formally approved at the meeting on 7 August.
The comprehensive report sets out the planning policies that the Parish Council considers breached by the proposal but is supportive of an alternative location being sought at Peamore. It has been submitted to Teignbridge District Council, District and County Councillors and MP Mel Stride.
