"Soft Plastics" recycling trial in Exminster
With plastic becoming one of the main problems for our climate, the Environment Working Party in the village have been working tirelessly to try and do their bit to help. I am pleased to announce that in association with a local business, Exminster Community will have a collection point in the village to take their soft plastics for recycling.
From the 9th January there will be one collection point in Exminster – look out for a grey bin outside Coffee on the Corner. You can put the following in the bin:
- Bread Bags
- Salad Bags
- Crisp Packets
- Fruit and Vegetable Bags
All we ask is that you pop in cleaned and dry plastics please. This is a trial and it would be great to keep it in the village This is brilliant news for the village and another step towards Exminster becoming Greener for the future and even better for the planet as more plastics will not be going to landfill.
