Rubbish skip

On 3 November, the Parish Council received formal confirmation from Teignbridge District Council that the Rural Skip service has ceased. The skip used to visit the village in February each year when it was a regular sight to see mattresses, sofas and other large items being carried through the village as residents cleared out their lofts and garages.

The Parish Council has discussed whether it would be possible to pay for the service by funding it through an increase to the precept (part of the Council Tax) but, when costs and risks were considered, it was decided that it was not feasible.
